The NSW Schools Team has been competing during the week in very warm conditions at the Australian Schools Championships at Maryborough, Queensland.

Josh Blatchford ran a hot time in the senior boys category to become the resident Australian champion. It was a thrilling result with Josh edging out Lachlan Dow of the ACT by all of one second!! The senior boys team of Josh Blatchford, Alex Massey, Rob Bennett and Tom Carter were placed 3rd overall in the event.

The junior girls relay team of Michele Dawson, Nicola Blatchford and Alinta Merrotsy ran a sensational race to be placed 3rd in the relays. This this is a great result as the team is young and can back up again next year!

The junior boys relay event was voided after some teams were allocated incorrect maps.

The whole of the team is running well and there are some great results being posted in the schools and general events by the team. The results can be accessed on the event website.
