URBAN EVENT 4 Series final March 22, 2023
Location: the assembly area is located at the northern end of Thomas H Halton Park. Please access
the park via the boat ramp entrance off Bareki Road just east of Moani Street Eleebana.
Directions: Travelling north along Bareki road go past the main park entrance north approx. 200m of
Tingira Drive. Travel 70m and turn left into the boat ramp entrance prior to Moani Street Eleebana.
Travelling south along Bareki road turn right into the boat ramp entrance just past Moani Street
Eleebana.

Start times: Between 4.45pm and 6.15pm
Course Closure: 7:00pm. (Finish after 7:00pm and you risk being disqualified for failing to
finish the course in the allowed time)
This closure time is to enable us to collect controls before it gets dark. Please choose your
start time so that you complete your chosen course by 7:00pm
Courses: Long course 5km, Short 2.5km, Mini 1km
Short and long courses cross car parks please be careful and check for traffic.
Facilities: Toilets, barbecues Play equipment approx. 300m from assembly area.
Terrain: Open Parkland. The main road, kids playground, dog exercise area and skate park are
out of bounds and marked accordingly on the map. There are controls near the skate park.
The intent of the out bounds area at the skate park is to stop competitors running through
the middle of it. You will be disqualified for crossing out of bounds areas.
Urban Foot Orienteering (UFO) Series
The Urban Foot Orienteering (UFO) series for 2023 kicks off on Wednesday 1st March 2023. Each event will have a long course, a short course and possibly a mini course which is suitable for children and novices.

All events will be run in a Covid safe way to comply with current COVID restrictions, so please remember to maintain physical distance at all times.
There will be no water supplied so you will need to bring enough to meet all of your needs for before, during and after your run.
There will be no loose control descriptions. Control descriptions will be on the maps - International Symbols for the long and short courses and English/text for the mini course. If you prefer to carry a separate copy of the control descriptions or you prefer English/text descriptions you will need to download and print these yourself. They will be available on Eventor.
There will be no results displayed at the event. Subject to internet availability at the site results will be available via https://sportident.itsdamp.com/directory.php
