Dudley Public School
Official Gradings
Note: The scoring system used to arrive at these gradings is different to how it was done in previous years and to the unofficial standings published after the Jesmond event. Apologies for this but the scorer found out that Eventor wasn't doing the calculations that he thought it was. The scheme now is that the winner of each event gets 100pts, 2nd place 99pts and so on. Nice and simple! All complaints should be directed to the series organiser Malcolm Roberts, who will listen attentively but not necessarily do anything constructive!!!
Congratulations to the Winners:
Long Course
A Grade: Rob Bennett
Female: Nicola Blatchford
B Grade: Stuart Kurtz
C Grade: Karen Blatchford
D Grade: Neil Curryer
E Grade: Kim Van Netten
Short Course
A Grade: Alvin Craig
B Grade: Andrew Gilbett

Course: Long (~2.6km) and Short (~1.6km). Both courses have a map change (i.e. turn the map over for the second part of the course).
Directions: Park in Boundary St., Dudley and enter the school grounds at the orienteering sign.
Facilities: There are no toilets available for our use at the school. The nearest toilets are at the two hotels (which may be open later in the morning), 250m east along Ocean St.
Course Setter's Notes: Complex school buildings with many impassable and passable barriers, stairs, pillars and building canopies. The map also includes sections of forest, open areas with scattered trees and open sport fields. There are several pedestrian underpasses among the school buildings that are represented on the map by the purple crossing symbol (IOF symbol 708.1) Beware of blind corners throughout the school buildings. KEEP LEFT to avoid injury.
Note - SI: this is a Sport Ident (SI) event, there is an SI unit attached to each control, so you will need to bring your SI stick.
