Typical University campus with some courses going through the decommissioned Sanitarium factory and laboratories; updated 2021 by Sam Howe.

All courses will use 1:3000 scale, no map flip, with control descriptions printed on the back of the map.

  • Tables and chairs are not mapped as they tend to get moved around by the students;
  • Take particular note of the olive green and other uncrossable features;
  • There are controls at multi-level sites - the control descriptions will come in handy;
  • The factory is being decommissioned, so piles of rubbish appear and disappear daily.  Do not rely on special item crosses for navigation in the factory area;
  • Most boom gates are not mapped.  Some may be up and others down.  They can all easily be run around.  Please don’t rely on them for navigation.

Directions & Parking

Turn into Central Road from Freemans Drive at Cooranbong Shops.  Be aware of the speed humps along the road.  After 1.1km, go through the automatic boom gate and turn left and then left again.  Follow signs to the car parking on your right.

The finish and assembly is the large grassy area to the west of the car park.

Follow the signs from the assembly, a three minute walk.

The start, for all courses, is a three minute walk from the Assembly.  Follow the signs.

Out of Bounds

All areas to the south and east of the car park, except for taped routes from the assembly to the start and toilets.

Warm up

Use the path or grass along north side of Central Road, directly to the West of the assembly.

Special Map Symbols

Brown triangle – piles of mulch

Black circles – Park benches

Road crossings
All courses, including Easy and Very easy, cross roads which will be open, so exercise caution.  Traffic is anticipated to be very minimal, but there is the chance that vehicles will be using the roads.  The two crossings used by the Easy and Very Easy courses will be marshalled.
