NSW Interclub & OY winners
The 2026 State League competition concluded on 12/13 September with the NSW Middle & Long Champs, held in Tuckland State Forest located between Gulgong & Dunedoo. Newcastle again finished on top of the NSW Interclub table and had thirty two placegetters in the individual Orienteer of the Year competition.
The Interclub Competition awards 5 points for an age class win, down to 1 point for fifth place. A strong showing at all State League events saw Newcastle finish first on 1454 points, with Garingal Orienteers second on 956 and Western and Hills Orienteers third on 846. Nine club members were NSW Orienteer of the Year age A class winners. The OY pointscore counted competitors’ best eight results from this year’s fourteen State League events
