  Newcastle medalists from the Australian   Champs and Australian Schools Carnival

 A large contingent of Newcastle orienteers competed in the Australian Champs & Schools Champs carnival, held 28 September-6 October in the Armidale region, which featured the 2024 Australian Middle Distance, Long Distance, Sprint and Relay Championships as well as the Australian Schools Orienteering Championships (ASOC). Many club members were also involved in planning and helping run the carnival.

Long Distance: 2. Erika Enderby (Senior Girls).
Relays: 1. Rebecca Craig & Erika Enderby (NSW Senior Girls team), 3. Baxter Peel (NSW Junior Boys team). 
 Rebecca, Erika & Baxter were also members of the winning state team with NSW finishing on top of the ASOC pointscore. Rebecca & Erika were also selected in the Australian Schools Honour Team.
