1.4 You must carry water with you.

1.5 You must obey normal road rules and ensure your bike is in safe working order.

2 Event Description

2.1 There will be two maps, a LineScore75 map and AllScore75 with all the same controls on the maps.

2.2 The LineScore75 map will be an A4 double sided map; a line course on one side and a score course on the other side, the total time allowed is 75 minutes.

2.3 On the LineScore75 the line course has to be completed before the score course. Line course controls are to be visited in order.

2.4 The line course will have between 7 and 9 controls, each valued at 2 points. On completion of the line course the remainder of the 75 minutes is to be used on the score course. Controls will be valued either 1, 2 or 3 points as indicated by the colour of the control on the map, Green 1 point, Orange 2 points and Pink 3 points. Score controls can be visited in any order.

2.5 Failure to complete Line course on the LineScore75 map.

2.5.1 If a competitor is unable to complete the line course within the 75 minute time limit then they should head to the finish. Their score will be the total of the line controls visited in the correct order. With no penalties for those missed. They cannot score points on the score course whilst returning to the finish. Late time penalties will still apply.

2.5.2 If a competitor is unable to find a line control (or realizes that they have accidently missed a control) then they may abort the line course and continue to the score course. No points will be awarded for any part of the line course but points will be awarded for the score course.

2.6 The AllScore75 map will be a 75 minute all score event (no line course) using exactly the same controls as the LineScore75 but the map will be one sided with all controls.

2.7 Each competitor has the choice to ride either course, the LineScore75 or the AllScore75. Please note clauses 2.12 and 2.13.

2.8 Controls will be valued either 1, 2 or 3 points as indicated by the colour of the control on the map, Green 1 point, Orange 2 points and Pink 3 points. Score controls can be visited in any order.

2.9 Two minutes prior to your start time, you will be given the map. You can use this time to attach the map to your board and plan both the line course and/or the score course.

2.10 Competitors will incur a 1 point penalty for each minute or part thereof they are late, down to a score of zero.

2.11 Competitors will receive a 1 point bonus for each full minute early if they punch all controls on the map.

2.12 The series will consist of six BOSS events. A competitor’s best four results from these events will be tallied to produce an overall series total. (Course setters will receive an average of their best three results for the event they set).

2.13 If you have been classified as an Elite rider (by the BOSS Coordinator) you will not be awarded a podium place if you ride the AllScore75.

2.14 Individual scores for each event will be calculated as a percentage of the winners score

2.15 Competition categories for each series will be for Women, Men, Rookie & eBike.
