So if you've checked out the results page for street you may have noticed the new teams category. Currently you dont opt into the teams category its automatic if you are in a team of 2 or more (teams of 1 are not allowed) except if you are walking or praming in a team you are not automatically moved into the teams category. Why? Well there is only the possibility to be in one competition category at any one time other than the open category which everyone is in. Now you can run as a team one week and as individuals the next. You can also change the composition of the team - but it becomes a new team in the results (for two reasons, to stop team fixing and our scoring system can't handle it anyway)
So now teams are no longer lumped in with the 'men' category as in times past.
I'll head off the trophy question now- is there one? no, there is not. Is there a prize - the top team will probably get a toblerone each (as long as they have competed at least 5 times as a full team)
So thats teams, next i want to talk about the rest of the scoring system. Right now its the same as last year as i ran out of time to make more adaptations (newborn and all). I had lofty goals during the break to move the scoring system to a proper database with its own website and all historical data (which i am only missing one year of now) of course that didn't happen (newborn and all). So since i have missed that window of oppurtunity it won't happen this season.
