Directions: Blue Gum Hills Regional Park
From Newcastle: Go west to the Link Rd. At the third intersection after leaving Wallsend, (this intersection has traffic lights), turn right towards Minmi on Woodford Street. At the next set of lights turn right Minimi Rd, approx 500m turn right into the Bluegum Hills Regional Park. From Morriset: From the M1 take the Newcastle exit, Link Rd towards Newcastle. At the first set of traffic lights turn left towards Minmi on Woodford Street. Follow the same directions as above.
Parking and access: The access road to the parking area has some drainage humps which may not suit some vehicles. Thus
A: THOSE WHO ARE PREPARED to drive to this parking area should enter through the main park gate and proceed through the main car parking area and through a manned gate at the southern end of the turning circle. Parking will be on the road to the east of the assembly area (please angle park and follow directions).
B: THOSE WHO ARE NOT PREPARED to drive to this parking area should park at the ADDITIONAL parking area adjacent to the Minmi cemetery, 50m south-west of the main gate. This will require a walk south past the cemetery and up to the main car park and gate at the turning circle. Then follow the road / walking trail to the assembly (approx 1.2 km)

Kids Activities: There will be a techincal/fun training session for kids of all ages between 11 and 12 (weather permitting) followed by a game of bush soccer. A good chance for kids to get together and play.

Start times: 9:30 to 11:30am with course closure at 1pm. Please ensure you start your course with enough time to complete it prior to course closure
Note. The area is subject to mine subsidence, which is marked on the maps by pink/purple dots. There may be some faded pink streamers hanging in these areas, but BE ALERT.
