Following a successful squad training camp based at Tocal Agricultural College in 2008, the NSW junior squad will return to Tocal for their first squad camp of 2009. It looks like close to twenty will be attendance between the 22nd to the 26th of April, including ten junior members from our own Newcastle ranks.

A very full training program includes:
Wednesday 22/4 at 'Mt Sugarloaf'
Thursday 23/4 at 'the Farm', then 'the Range' (and maybe some 'Night 'O' out at Tocal thanks to the efforts of 'footprints', one of our key club mappers)
Friday 24/4 out to 'Brokenback Slopes', then further out to 'Wattle Ponds Road' in Singleton
Saturday 25/4 for sprint 'O' training at 'Walka Water Works', then a trip to the NSW Night Championships
Sunday 26/4 will see the 'Camp Champs' decided at the Newcastle minor event on 'Jigadee Jog', Rob Preston setting

A key factor behind the success of the 2008 camp was the magnificent support of Newcastle club members, who generously gave of their own time to do some 'training' by volunteering to assist with control placement and/or collection during that camp.

The squad Managers would be happy to hear from any club members who might be available to assist with control placement and/or collection during the upcoming camp.
