Good luck to Newcastle Orienteering Club Member Nicola Blatchford who is representing Australia

at the Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) in Rauland, Norway from 4-10 July.



The Australian team of 6 women and 6 men will compete in a Sprint distance, Middle distance

qualification and final, Long distance and Relay events during six days of competition.

The JWOC 2015 Program is:

• Sat 4th July - Model sprint, Opening Ceremony

• Sun 5th July – Sprint – from 11.00a.m. (7.00 p.m. AEST)

• Mon 6th July - Middle Qualification

• Tues 7th July - Middle final – from 10.30a.m. (6.30 p.m. AEST)

• Wed 8th July - Rest day, Model Long/Relay

• Thurs 9th July - Long distance – from 9.00 a.m. (5.00 p.m. AEST)

• Fri 10th July - Relays, Closing Ceremony – from 9.00 a.m. (5.00 p.m. AEST)

• Sat 11th July - Departure

There will be some live coverage of each final (Sprint, Middle, Long, and Relay) at  with about 50 women and 50 men wearing a GPS transmitter in

each Final.
