Congratulations to Melanie Simpson who has broken through to take a place on the Australian MTBO team to contest the world champs in Poland this August. She joins a select group of Newcastle orienteering club members that have represented their country at a World Orienteering Championships event. The team was recently named after a series of three trial races held near Ballarat. A record number of people nominated this year and after some tough decisions the selectors named the following team.
