NOY6 - O'Donnelltown Rock
The sixth event of our Newcastle Orienteer of the Year (NOY) was contested on Sunday at O'Donnelltown and it was suitably challenging for those honing their skills and fitness for the upcoming end of season events. Times revealed that they were physically and navigationally challenging courses with setter Peter Charlton suggesting that in hindsight he might have made them a tad long.
While maybe physically demanding the area is certainly scenic and at times it was difficult to believe we were within a couple of kilometres of civilisation.
Thanks to Peter and all the Charltons for organising this event and to htose that assisted on the day.
