This year marks a change in the way thay the NOY (Newcastle Orienteer of the Year) is scored. From this year the Male and Female (and overall) NOY will only be drawn from points earned from competing on the Hard Long course. The winner of each course will now earn 100 points and other competitors will lose 1 point for each minute behind the winners time. In this way all courses will now be out of 100 times the number of NOY events in a year with the best 5 (or otherwised advised) scores counting towards your grand total for the year per course.
Points will NOT be transferrable between classes.
